 Northeast Oregon Seasonal Laborer

Division: Wood Products

Salary: $12.62

 Basic Qualifications: Candidates must be able to work all shifts and pass a pre-employment criminal background check, drug test and physical assessment. Candidates must also possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time, bend, twist, kneel, stoop and squat.  Must be able to ascend and descend stairs/ladders.  Required safety training is provided in both verbal and written form.

 Candidates must be able to commit to working a minimum of 10 weeks between May 1, 2017 and September 30, 2017.

 Responsibilities:

·         Perform strenuous, repetitive tasks under varying weather conditions.

·         Work in a safe manner by complying with all company safety policies to include the utilization of required PPE.

·         Maintain a high degree of quality in performance and methods with regards to efficiency and safety.

TREASURE VALLEY YMCA-CALDWELL JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Swim Instructor –  must have a current WSI or YSI certification and valid CPR certification or able to obtain CPR within 30 days of hire.

 Candidates must be a minimum of 16 years or older. We have certification classes available. Knowledge of pool safety procedures is preferred.  We are looking for candidates with  excellent customer service and communication skills, and someone that will join the aquatics team in being responsible for the safety and maintenance of the aquatics center.


Lifeguard – must have a current LG certification w/ CPR and BFA (& preferably O2, but O2 can be earned after hire/via crossover to YMCA lifeguard cert)

 Candidates must be 16 years or older and have current Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR, and Administering Emergency Oxygen Certifications. The ideal candidate will be punctual, responsive, and vigilant. Candidates must possess the ability to articulate and enforce YMCA policies in a positive way and be able to engage strangers in conversations and create an inclusive, welcoming environment for a diverse group of individuals. Emotional maturity and strong decision making skills are crucial to the job.


Slide Dispatch (volunteer) – 14 years old

Slide Dispatch (employee) – 15 years old, must be CPR certified or able to obtain CPR within 30 days of hire

 Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days is required. Must have the ability to hear commands in a noisy environment, have 20/20 vision or wear corrective lenses, and be able to readily recognize the differences between red, blue, yellow, and green colors. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and sit or stand for prolonged periods of time in a hot and humid environment. Must have a positive and outgoing personality, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and time management skills.
