How do I improve a test grade?
You may earn back half of the test points you miss by completing a "test
correction" assignment. A test correction assignments consists of copying each
missed question as it is written on the test, completing the problem correctly
- showing all work and steps, and writing out a detailed verbal description of
how the problem is correctly solved. Quarter exams cannot be corrected. The
only due date on test corrections is the end of the quarter in which the test
is given.

How do I improve an assignment grade?

The only grades given on assignments are A(10/10), B(8.5/10), C(7.5/10) and
NY(0/10). NY stands for "Not Yet." Any grade may be improved one step. An NY
may become a C. A C may become a B. A B may become an A. To do this, the
assignment must be completed in its entirety, making sure that all problems
are complete and all work is shown. Assignments not turned in on time are
scored NY and may be changed to a C when they are submitted.

How do I get extra help?

I am at school by 8:15 and at least until 4:15 each day. Feel free to come by
the room. If you need a pass to have someone open a locked hall door, just
write one and have me sign it. I will gladly do so. If you have a late bus,
there is time for extra help before your bus comes. Just stop by the
classroom. The door is always open.

If you'd like to get help over the phone, I can do that as well. You may reach
me at home at (208)459-6148. Please do not call past 8:30 PM. While on the
phone, if you are at a computer, we can use the blackboard on this site to
draw out what you are working on.
